3 days in the Loire valley and Brittany


 DAY 1

7:00  am:   Pick up at your hotel and transfer to the Loire Valley

Castle of Chambord



Visit to the castle of Chambord. A masterpiece of the   French renaissance and the most impressive castle built by François Ist around 1520






Castle of Chenonceau

After an hour's drive we arrive at Chenonceau the “ Castle of Ladies” where Catherine De Medici and her rival Diane De Poitiers will stay . Chenonceau shelters a wonderful collection of paintings such as Le Tintoret, Rubens or Van Loo.

  Quick lunch at the cafeteria  in the park of Chenonceau or at L'Orangerie.






Castle of Azay-Le-Ride
After  a 45 minutes' drive we arrive at Azay- Le- Rideau, a jewel of the French Renaissance on the UNESCO world heritage list. The man who built it, Gilles Berthelot, was in charge of the finance of the kingdom under the reign of King François Ist.

 Visit of the Domaine de l’Aulée, a winery, 4 km from Azay le Rideau

     
3 hours’ drive to Brittany with some short stops along the wild coast in Quiberon

Arrival at your hotel in Quiberon, the Sofitel  Thalassa 
a four star resort on the sea shore.
                      


  
Pick up at your hotel and visit of the surroundings.

Cliffs in Quiberon
 -  La “côte sauvage” coastal cliffs  around Quiberon.
-  The charming Village of St Cado on the Etel river.
-  Notre – Dame des Fleurs a chapel in Plouharnel 
   
-  Stop in an oyster park in Le Pô
-  Saint-Colomban, charming old village
Carnac with the impressive alignments of megaliths (menhirs and dolmens) dated from   3300  before J.C until 4.500  before J.C.



                                 

Harbour in St Goustan


 Visit of  Saint Goustan, the charming little harbour of Auray, with its old houses and streets. 



   



We leave Auray, after two hours’ drive, we reach the magnificent city of Dinan

Visit of Dinan with its roman style church St Sauveur , a fortified castle and  its protective walls all around the city. 


   




After  an hour drive , we arrive in St Malo around 7.00pm . 
Drop off at your hotel, “Le Nouveau Monde” a four star hotel facing the ocean.

After 15 minutes’ walk, sightseeing in the old city of
 St Malo with its fortified walls. 








DAY 3

Mont St Michel


We leave St Malo and drive to Le Mont St Michel " the Wonder of the Western   World ”.
 Lunch in le Mont Saint-Michel   
  









Option : A stop in Honfleur, cradle of  impressionism and charming little harbor with paved streets and numerous art galleries.

5.00 pm :    Back to Paris  at your hotel around 7:00pm.
